Six Kaweah Arrowmen Honored by National OA with Centurion Award

Kaweah Lodge is pleased to announce that six long-time Arrowmen have been selected by the National OA Committee as part of over 1,800 Arrowmen to receive the OA Centurion Award, a special one-time recognition honoring years of distinguished service to the Order of the Arrow.

The Kaweah Arrowmen selected for this honor include four adults who also served as youth OA officers, and all six served in numerous OA and Scouting adult volunteer or staff roles.  Listed in alphabetical order:

* Jeffrey Britton, Arrowman for over 45 years, including past Kaweah Lodge chief, past Kaweah Lodge adviser, past W3A section adviser, staff for several National OA Conferences, and long-time Alameda Scouter.

* Michael Coustier, Arrowman for almost 20 years, including past Kaweah Lodge adviser, current lodge associate adviser, and current council vice president of program.

* Richard Christman, Arrowman for over 40 years beginning in Nanuk Lodge (Anchorage, AK), current lodge adviser, and current executive board member and Cubmaster.

* Gregory Falkner, Arrowman for over 33 years, including past Kaweah Lodge chief, past Kaweah Lodge adviser, past council vice president of program, and current council executive board member.

* Charles Howard-Gibbon, Arrowman for over 39 years, including past Mayi Lodge chief, past Mayi Lodge associate adviser, and lodge staff adviser to several lodges include Kaweah Lodge.

* Stephen Zecher, Arrowman for over 35 years, including past Kaweah Lodge chief, past Kaweah Lodge adviser, and current council camping chair.

Centurion Award recipients were announced during the ArrowTour event in July, and recognized at a August 7 reception during the 2015 National OA Conference at Michigan State University. 

On November 20, 2015, National OA Vice Chairman Clint Takeshita and Section Advisers Tom Lackovic and Kevin Fischer presented each of our six honorees the Centurion Award medal and framed certificate during the Kaweah Lodge Banquet.at the Alameda Elks Lodge.
