Alameda Council - Boy Scouts of America

Roundtable

Not really a training program, but a leaders' meeting that will give you lots of resources and ideas for your youth. Once a month.

A monthly refresher for Cub Scout and Boy Scout leaders

WHEN:   Every first Thursday of every Month at 7:30 PM
(Except the months of July & August)
WHERE:   Alameda Council Office
1714 Everett Street, Alameda, CA 94501

A leaders’ meeting for all program levels. Each District holds a monthly Roundtable meeting for all of its Boy Scout and Cub Scout leaders.

Do you sometimes feel that you are not receiving all the information that Council is giving out? There may be a simple solution to your problem; attend Roundtable!

All Council information is given out at this monthly meeting. Wouldn't you rather see money go into the program rather than mailings every time something comes up in Council. I know what you are saying, "Oh great, another meeting."

Roundtables are very informative and can be used as an asset to your unit. But the same leader need not attend every one, so spread the wealth! Try a rotation or just send someone from your new from your unit to Roundtable every month. The information gap in your unit will dramatically shrink if you do.

The purpose of Roundtable is to help units succeed by providing useful program ideas, information on policy, leadership training, and current information on upcoming Council events and training opportunities. Roundtables are the best way to find out what's going on!

Equally importantly, Roundtable participants have an opportunity to meet other Scouters and enjoy the fellowship that makes Scouting fun.

Free! Required for some training awards.
