I started my Scouting experience in Pack 14 in the mid-late 1980's and earned the Arrow of Light award. I joined Troop 11 and was with them for about 4 years. I transferred to Troop 1015 in 1994 as I had quite a few really good friends there. I was elected into the OA and went through The Ordeal in 1995. I enjoyed being Camp Staff at Camp Cedarbrook from 1994 through 1996. I turned 18 in mid 1997 and ended my youth time as a Life scout with a few merit badges and the Eagle Project remaining.

I started working at UPS and got disconnected with the troop and scouting for just shy of 9 years. I was called back in early 2006 to help out as an Assistant Scoutmaster and served in the position for 4 1/2 years. The then current Scoutmaster stepped down in late 2010 and I was asked to take over as the Scoutmaster. I have been the Scoutmaster since then and became an Associate Advisor for the Kaweah Lodge in 2015. I earned Brotherhood at the 2015 Conclave. I was the First Assistant Scoutmaster for the 2017 National Jamboree. I was one of the leaders for the 2018 Council Contingent to the Bahamas Sea Base. I was awarded the Vigil Honor in March 2019. I was an IST (Staff) for the 2019 World Jamboree in West Virginia.

I have earned the Boy Scout Leader Trained Award, and The Scoutmaster Key. I have been awarded the Alameda Council Boy Scout Oscar and the Unit Leader Award of Merit. I was awarded the District Award of Merit in February 2019.

I like most things outdoors including backpacking, camping, cooking, hiking, fishing, kayaking, astronomy, SCUBA and free diving, and just sitting down and enjoying the outdoors. I enjoy coin and paper money collecting and have a large collection with US and foreign samples back into the 1800's. I also have a Boy Scout Handbook Collection. I have 154 out of the 157 Handbooks that the BSA has printed.
